Behind the Brand
wetheknot was founded by graphic designer Filip and fashion designer Sérgio in Lisbon, Portugal. They wanted to design everyday items that looked good and served a purpose free from the constraints of the fashion industry's seasonal trends. Sustainability is at the heart of the business, so they began to source local materials and aimed to create as little waste as possible. They now make luggage, accessories and clothes to the highest standard.
Alternative Materials
From upcycling broken umbrellas to make swimwear to using recycled marine plastic, wetheknot take great care to use sustainable materials. Most of their products are vegan, and they only use organic cotton, which is softer on the skin and kinder to the environment.
People Friendly
wetheknot have great respect for the local artisans they employ. From their seamstress, Dona Manuela who makes the Vegan leather pouches from her home in Famalicão, to tailor Sohil Vahora, who sews the backpacks and pencil cases, each member of the team is valued and credited. For wetheknot, sustainability is about looking after people too.
