Established in 2011, Becky Kemp created Sketch.inc inspired by her love of Nordic and Japanese design. Her dolls for Lucie Kaas are based on the traditional Japanese Kokeshi doll carved from a single piece of wood. All of Becky's designs begin life in her sketchbook, which she carries with her wherever she goes.
Sketch.inc teamed up with Lucie Kaas, a Danish company that works with designers, makers and architects to produce design-led collectable accessories and homewares. Sketch.inc have designed this range exclusively for Lucie Kaas.
These whimsical figures are designed for adults and children alike, and the simplicity of their graphic detail gives them a childlike quality. All of Sketch.inc dolls are made from Schima Superba or beechwood and are hand-painted, making each doll unique. Becky is inspired by the legends and icons of music, art, sport and film to create designer collectables for the 21st century. She also makes keychains and pin badges using her simple signature style.
