HAWS
Haws watering cans are made using 130 years of technical expertise and are built to last. Their aesthetic quality makes them Perfect for the home and garden alike.
History Behind the Brand
Established in 1886, Haws is the oldest watering can manufacturer in the world. A self-confessed terrible gardener, John Haws set about designing his own watering can to improve his botanical skills. Haws' invention was an instant success with leading gardeners. The attention to detail, carried on by his nephew Arthur, has continued to hold its own against cheap imitations to this day. Haws is still a family-run business.
Made in the UK
It takes 200 steps to make, and parts are cut, soldered, shaped and assembled by hand in Smethwick, West Midlands, before being cured in the oven. Finally, the Haws emblem is added as a guarantee of the finest quality.
Green as the Garden
Although a traditional company, Haws are in step with the changes needed in the 21st Century. Their award-winning cardboard is 100% recycled and their watering cans are wrapped in compostable bags. They are part of the Trees for Transactions scheme run by Treesisters who plant a tree for every transaction they make. Haws also donate a share to the ecological charity 1% for the Planet, who use the funds to protect the environment.
