A L'Olivier
A L'Olivier is a family company spread across three sites in Nice, Poitiers and Paris. They produce superior oils and vinegars using traditional, artisanal methods.
The People Behind the Green Gold
A L'Olivier was founded by pharmacist Monsieur Poplin in Paris, 1822. He understood the health benefits of this liquid gold and set up a shop devoted to olive oil. The shop became a hub for those who loved the Meditterian way of life and 150 years later was still popular, even attracting famous patrons like Catherine Deneuve. Having passed through the Popelin and Menuisier families, the shop was purchased by Jean-Claude Blanvillain in 1978 and his two sons still head the company today.
Expertise
A L'Olivier employs expert tasters to find the best vintages in the Mediterranian basin, focusing on freshness, traceability and purity. Once harvested, the oil is extracted within one week at their stone mill in Poitou. Fresh herbs are infused into extra virgin olive oil utilizing vacuum-sealing, a speciality of A L'Olivier's. Herbs like lavender and basil are infused within a few days of being harvested by local farmers for optimum flavour.
